Welcome to the F.X. Thunder Chapter of Harley Owners Group. We are sponsored by F.X. Caprara Harley-Davidson of Adam Center, NY.

​The F.X. Thunder Harley Owners Group is a diverse group of riders made up of men & women, novice to experienced who enjoy the camaraderie of friends and the passion of riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. We are where lasting relationships are formed and where memories are made. It’s where people like you come to share their common interest in Harley-Davidson motorcycles and the unique lifestyle that makes H.O.G.® so special.

We have a variety of terrific group rides and events for everyone to enjoy. Our meetings are a great way to get to know other members and learn more about our chapter. Come see what the F.X. Harley Davidson of Adams Center at 17890 Goodnough St. Adams Center, NY on the first Saturday of every month at 10:00am. We would love to meet you!

The goal of F.X. Thunder Harley Owners Group is to promote responsible motorcycling events for the Harley Owners Group members by conducting chapter activities and encouraging participation in other H.O.G. functions. Our intent is to bring people of common interests together, to enjoy the spirit of motorcycling, to increase the level of enthusiasm for riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, to support the activities of F.X. Caprara Harley Davidson of Adams Center, and to create a family-oriented atmosphere in which all members can live the Harley-Davidson experience.

    • June 6th Saturday: Altmar Hotel & Salmon River Falls – New Harley Owners Ride KSU 11:30am

  • $20 Gas Card Raffle
    This year's riding season we are going to raffle off $20 gas gift cards for Sunoco gas. On certain FX Thunder Club rides we will raffle a free $20 gas gift card, for club members who participate in club rides. There will be 1 gift card per month in May, June, July, August, September and maybe October. We will raffle it off once we reach our destination point of the ride. First Gift Card Ride will be May 30, 2026 to Chittenango Falls. At our destination we will draw one playing card each, High card wins $20 gas card

  • 2026 Let's Ride Challenge

    Registration has begun for the Let's Ride Challenge. Stop in to FX Caprara H-D to get your first mileage reading. Good Luck

  • Learn How to Use the H-D App, Whats-App, Website, Challenges, QR codes, Let's Ride Program etc:
    We had a presentation by Dan Sturtz after our regular meeting to help anybody learn the in's and out's of the H-D app. Thank you Dan. It was very informative and there were a lot of questions. We will continue to do this and help who ever needs help.

  • Overnight Ride to Hancock NY - MAY 22-24, 2026
    Our Assistant Director Dan has planned a ride to Hancock, NY on May 22-24, 2026. 2 nights, about 220 each way, will be arriving about 2-3pm, Hotels are listed below with prices and phone numbers and are all right in Hancock, NY:
    • Green Acres Retreat is $150 per night, for reservation call 607-463-9737
    • Timberline Motel is $100 per night, for reservations call 607-467-2042
    • Upper Delaware Inn is $200 per night, for reservation call 607-637-1600
    Trip information: Meet at FX Caprara H-D on Friday, May 22nd at 8:30am with KSU at 9am. Approximately 220 miles to Hancock. Next day Saturday, May 23rd we will meet up at Mcdonalds at 8:30am with KSU at 9am. We will ride about 150-200 miles with stops at Hawks Nest, Woodstock Bethel Woods and Roscoe diner. On Sunday, May 24th we will meet up at McDonalds again at 8:30am with KSU at 9am to head home. This will be a closed ride for members only.   • FX THUNDER FUND RAISER BASKET
    We have started to put together a gift basket as a fund raiser to raffle off at the FXCH-D open house in the fall. It's a big easter basket we want to fill with products by getting donations from club members. The kinds of donations we are looking for is if you make things at home. (Example: Rachel make maple syrup, Jeff makes wine etc.) If not made from home you can donate Crackers, summer sausage, gift cards, cheese, scratch-off lottery tickets, etc. Anything you would like that will stay fresh for the summer. After completed we will distribute raffle ticket to sell to all our members. Raffle ticket will be $1 each. Thank you in advance!

  • 2026 CLUB OVER NIGHT RIDE (Members Only)
    Our Activies Director Rachel is working on ideas for an overnight ride but she needs your help.
    1. One suggestion was to Ride a 365 15 for 26 Challenge to The Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Next day ride to another Ride 365 50 Rides 1 Nation Mount Greylock, Massachusetts, then home. It's about 285 mile each way.
    2. A second seggest was to Ride Lake Placid about 100 miles each way with lots to do in the village, whiteface etc.

    • FX Thunder 15 for 26 Challenge

    FX Thunder H.O.G. has picked 17 destinations around NY and is challenging you to get at least 15 to complete the challenge. Ride to any or all destinations and get a picture of the destination with your bike along with either the 2026 Membership Guide Cover (See Sample) or the 2026 Harley-Davidson Enjoy the Ride Booklet Cover (See Sample).

    Challenge sheets are available at our meetings and also for printing right here on our website. Click the (Reference Map) link below. They are detailed with QR codes for the H-D app map with a starting point of FX Caprara H-D of Adams Center, plus GPS, and also an address if you want to create your own directions, There are also pictures of the location and county they are in. All the maps created with the QR codes on the H-D app are of backroads. NO HIGHWAYS! If you would like to try this and need more information, please come to one of our meeting.

    Challenge rules are simple: Just snap a picture of the challenge destination of which will be a Post Office, Fire Dept or in some cases a Library of the NYS cities, towns, villages with international Country names to complete the challenge. You will need at least 15 to qualify to complete the challenge. Picture must have your bike & 2026 Benefits Guide Cover or the 2026 Harley Davidson Enjoy the Ride Booklet Cover in the picture. Both these books you have received in the mail. We have also provided links for both of these booklet covers for printing. Members who have member passengers who also want to complete the challenge please snap picture of yourself's in the picture along with the bike and one of the booklets. This will be throughout NYS. Once you snap the picture please submit it through the What’s App FX Thunder H.O.G. Group Chat. Anybody who completes 15 will get a patch to commemorate your accomplishment for your vest. We have different patch designs that you can view at our meetings or below.

  • New Chrome Reconition Program for H.O.G. Chapters
    H.O.G. has start a program to recognition chapters who go above and beyond to give their members the best experience possible. There is a booklet with guide lines and criteria that must be followed to qualify. We have discussed it to see if we can complete all the step required to qualify. It's a lot to explain here so here is a link to the booklet. We will further discuss this at meeting and try to complete all the tasks required. CLICK HERE to read all about it.

    WhatsAPP Changes - Interact with other Chapter Member easily and instantly!
    The new FX Thunder Social Group / Must be in good standing to be added This new group is for anything not related to club business. We started a new group on what's app called FX Thunder Social. This is now where you can talk to other members about anything you want like jokes, Brithday wishes, about your day just like facebook, etc. The original group you all have now FX Thunder H.O.G. will be use strictly for club business like, Meeting Reminders, Ride updates, FX Caprara H-D events, etc. This was discuss at our meeting this February about the reasons why, so if you would like to join the new FX Thunder Social please just let me know in the original group and I will add you. You will still be in the FX Thunder H.O.G. Group. The What’s App is a great place to communicate with other club members. Join Today!

  • FX Thunder Ride 365 Mileage Submission Program
    Mileage verification for 2026 Ride 365 will No Longer be sent through the Whats-app. Whats-app is to busy and to hard for our Membership Officer Ken to keep up with and he also works at FXCH-D and nobody was really using his email as we tried to switch too. So with the Let's Ride program their were QR codes that still work for mileage verification. Also the Let's Ride program will be back for the 2026 riding season starting sometime in March. This is much easier and HEY it gets you out on your bike. You can visit any dealer to verify your miles by scanning the QR code with-in the dealers. Your miles are then immediately updated in your 365 profile. Any question just reach out to us. For club members: On another note our Chapter does participates in the Ride 365 Mileage Challenge. We compete against other Chapters in our region and nationally for National Total miles, Regional Total miles & National Average miles as you can see below on this page. If you would like to participate we ask that you get at least 2 mileage readings per year. One at the beginning of the year and one at the end of the year or end of your riding season. Other than the first and last odometer reading you could update your mileage as many times as you want by using the QR code in the Let's Ride Program as explained above. For members with H-D Visa Cards this will help so you can get your mileage points for riding each billing cycle. Thats right you can earn money for riding your Harley-Davidson Motorcycle.
